Building Math Confidence

Children can struggle in math for so many reasons, and once their confidence is low, it can be hard to recover. Math learners can feel increasingly that they are guessing their way through a system of routines that are arbitrary - just doing their best to follow instructions. By providing both curriculum support and coaching, I can help students get back to a place where they feel that math is a language they speak. With increased confidence, students can use the tools they need to solve problems, be flexible about their approach, and know how and when to ask powerful questions, as real mathematicians do.
